When do we ask for your personal data?

We ask you for personal data only when it is needed to provide services you have enquired about, or asked us to provide, or to respond to your requests for information.

For landowners, at the initial engagement stage, we will furnish you with a Letter of Comfort outlining what information is required and how this information will be stored and used.

Our website uses google analytics to collect information about visitors to our website. This information is gathered through cookies.  A cookie is a data file that is stored on your computer or mobile phone by a web browser. It collects data such as what buttons you have clicked, how much time has been spent on a web page, and other actions you may have carried out. We will not pass your personal information to anyone outside of Elgin Energy, without your prior consent, except where we are otherwise legally required to do so e.g. to the  Revenue Commissioners, any court of competent jurisdiction, statutory and regulatory bodies, and law enforcement authorities.



Other than in the above situation we will let you know when your personal information might go to third parties, and you will have the opportunity to decide not to share that information.

Retaining data

Data captured from CCTV on site at Elgin Energy’s projects is retained for a period of 30 days. All of our partners will be advised and adhere to this timescale.

You have the right to request a copy of the information which we hold about you. We will respond to your request without undue delay, and in most instances, we will respond within one calendar month. Please send all requests in writing to office@elgin-energy.com.

You should ensure that the information which we hold in relation to you is accurate and up to date. If you would like us to review the information we have collected on you at any time, please contact us. You also have the right to have your data deleted in certain circumstances, and to have your data restricted or blocked from processing where appropriate.


Amendments to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy from time to time without further notice. Any amendments will be made available on this page. Your continued use of any part of our website following the posting of any such amendments will constitute your acceptance of same.
