Elgin Energy's Graduate Programme offers a steep learning curve with a focus on your career acceleration.
Our Graduate Programme provides an intensive 18 month learning journey on the project development team. The programme aims to give you experience across all areas of the development process preparing you for the role of project manager.
You will work with each department to understand their function and how the entire business operates. Working on the development team will also provide exposure to international markets, policy, technology, project design and financial models.

You need the following to apply for the Elgin Energy Graduate Programme:
- Ideally (but not required) BSc or MA in STEM subject
- Permit or right to work in the country you are applying to with permission to travel to the UK and Ireland
- Graduation before 1 September 2022
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- High level of personal drive and learning ability
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
- Have a valid driver’s licence in the UK and Ireland or Australia

FAQs
Applications for the 2022 Graduate programme will be accepted between Q1 & Q2 2022. Interviews will be conducted in two stages in late Q2 2022 and successful candidates will start their position in August – September 2022.
Elgin Energy’s Graduate Programme runs for eighteen months.
The aim of our Graduate Programme is to provide graduates with a well-rounded education and experience to progress them into a more senior position on the project development team.
Yes, this is allowed on the basis that you will have a valid work visa/permit in place before your start date. This work visa/permit must also allow for travel to/from the UK and Ireland.
Elgin Energy offers a competitive salary benchmarked against the local market. We will advise the right candidate of the salary when offering them the position.
You must have completed your college course before starting your role at Elgin Energy.
Yes, it is a prerequisite to have a valid driver’s licence in the UK and Ireland or Australia as travel will be required.
Positions on the Graduate Programme are available in our Dublin, Sydney, and London offices. Elgin Energy does not provide a relocation fee.
Successful candidates will work from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
