This is the second year of our Generation Science Sponsorship. Thanks to our sponsorship, Generation Science visited every local Scottish authority, delivering over 1,400 performances and reaching over 54,000 pupils, inspiring the problem solvers of the future and helping teachers to deliver the Curriculum for Excellence. Our sponsorship is focused on schools in the remote Moray area where we are developing two large projects – Speyslaw 20MW and Milltown Airfield 50MW.
This year Edinburgh International Science Festival rebranded as Edinburgh Science and the festival made the decision to no longer accept sponsorship from fossil fuel companies. Edinburgh Science “realised its commitment to educating people on climate change was substantially compromised by accepting money from fossil fuel companies.”
